It’s been a really long time since we first started lockdown in March and I was lucky enough to be able to do one newborn shoot in the middle of October before the second lockdown. Baby B and her big brother were amazingly content and calm throughout the session.

It was even more of an honour to meet Baby B as the last time I saw this family was for her big brother’s newborn session! We took a few photos of his toys first and he was super keen to show off his baby sister. Big smiles all round as he hugged her so gently for their photo. I love this shot as it’s super safe for baby and always gives a lovely connection to the camera for the older sibling.

With all the soothing techniques I use, babies are usually very sleepy and settled and Baby B was no different. Snoozing her way through different props she enjoyed being swaddled in soft fabrics and even tried out a hat or two!

Autumnal flowers entwined in a birch nest give a lovely frame for this shot. This is the perfect image to use on a circular birch wall art which is one of my most popular products.
It certainly hasn’t been an easy year but this little ray of sunshine was a pleasure to photograph and I’m glad I could fit her in before the second lockdown :)
