I was super excited as my order of White Willow and Buff Willow arrived this morning – these beautiful smooth rods were grown in Somerset and prepared by steaming and stripping. I’m going to be soaking and weaving the branches into fabulous vessels for my newborn photography sessions. Newborn Photography props can be expensive to buy so what better way to put my sculpture degree to good use than create them myself!
The babies will rest on a bespoke tiny beanbag and the willow weave will form a natural frame around them. I can’t wait to get started and how lovely to be able to create something really special for my clients :)
