The perfect soundtrack…
I am over the moon today because I was given permission by the fabulous Corrinne May to use her song “In My Arms” on my website. Corrinne is a Singaporean singer/songwriter and musician who is now based in Los Angeles and has released 5 albums. It is the perfect lullaby, inspired by her experiences in the early days of becoming a mother. She says about that time in her life:
“I spent a lot of time in the first few months of Claire’s life, just holding her and nursing her till the wee hours of the morning. And in the stillness of the night, the idea for this song came to me. It still brings me back to those moments, where the nights were sweet and long and filled with the scent of milk and the sound of Claire’s breathing while I held her in my arms and soothed her to sleep.”
Making Wishes Come True….
I met this wonderful lady when I was working for the Make-A-Wish Foundation in Singapore and she kindly sang for us at a fundraising event. Her generosity helped us to raise funds to help make wishes come true for children with life-threatening illnesses and I have followed her music and journey as a mother ever since. Even when I was in hospital expecting my first child I listened to her music over and over as I found it so relaxing inbetween the contractions! I am so proud to be able to showcase her song as a soundtrack for my newborn gallery and hope that you enjoy listening to it too.
